Meet Shamshad
Family means everything to Shamshad. She wants the strength and freedom to enjoy everyday life again.
For 20 years, Shamshad has lived with kidney disease. Today, she relies on dialysis while waiting for a kidney transplant. Through it all, time with her family remains what matters most to her.
Dialysis helps keep her alive, but treatment takes time and energy. Fatigue and uncertainty affect everyday life, and even simple activities need to be planned around her health.
“I hope to regain my health, energy, and independence so I can live a normal life again.”
A transplant represents hope for renewed strength and more freedom to enjoy the people and moments that matter to her. Considering donation—or simply sharing her story—is a meaningful way to help.
Thank you for being here.
